about

I recounted the history of electronic music and instruments. I took the kids back to the 1960s, when electronic music started to gain some traction. Using "Switched on Bach" as an example, I demonstrated that much of the electronic music was monophonic, meaning only one note could be played/recorded at a time, even the complicated Bach pieces. This track is an experiment with single-note classical music written by your kids! They got to choose between low, mid, and high ranges in their note selections.

about

Jaguardini Harrisonburg, Virginia

Jaguardini treats music like a science project, combining the sounds of old video games and synthesizers to create a live blend of lofi synthpop and energetic dark wave. Christo manipulates a gameboy, a vocoder, synths, and an electric guitar with a CRT TV set on his head. Influenced by Crystal Castles, Pink Floyd, The Cure, Ghostland Observatory, Beethoven, Ladytron, MGMT, and Disasterpeace. ... more
